Bell Microproducts Inc., together with its subsidiaries, is a value-added distributor of storage products and systems, semiconductors and computer products and peripherals. The Company markets and distributes its products at various levels of integration, from raw components to integrated, tested and certified systems. Bell Microproducts carries over 140 brand name product lines, as well as its own Rorke Data storage products and Markvision memory modules. In October 2006, Bell Microproducts acquired an interest in ProSys Information Systems, an Atlanta, Georgia-based company. In October 2006, the Company also acquired certain assets of ProSys Information Systems and formed a wholly owned subsidiary, ProSys Information Solutions, which will focus on the information technology (IT) needs of medium and small businesses.
