Despite calls by our political leaders to reduce our dependence upon foreign sources of oil, the country will remain reliant on gasoline and diesel and jet fuel to meet the bulk of our transportation needs for the foreseeable future. With limited new domestic refining capacity expected on-line, we will also remain reliant upon imported refined products to meet our transportation needs. As such, we believe that domestic refining margins should continued to trend ahead of historical norms into the start of the next decade, resulting in tremendous earnings and free cash flow generation for the independent refiners. With strong earnings and cash flow, and measured capital spending, we anticipate companies will continue to return cash to shareholders via dividends and share repurchases. Given these dynamics, we also anticipate continued consolidation within the sector.
